Tommy Cha solo exhibition, The Galleries, Bristol 2013

alldaybreakfast is pleased to present Unseen Footage, an exhibition of new work by Tommy Cha. This is the artist’s first solo show in Bristol. At the core of Unseen Footage, is an unfinished film. By framing and presenting the work in different ways, the props, production stills and source materials have been transformed, their meanings are multiple and restless. Cha melds the improvised and the premeditated to create an alternating flow of content and form. Cha’s work has biographical layers, drawing on cultural heritage and human bonds, sifting through small clues or symbols that indicate people in a state of flux.
